1 India, Sri Lanka Deploy K9s in Exercise Mitra Shakti

It is a joint Military exercise between Sri Lanka and India. The dates for Mitra Shakti are from 12 August 2024 to 25 August 2024. The location of the Military exercise is in Sri Lanka, at the Army Training School in Maduru Oya. Here the meaning of K9s is the dogs that help in military operations. 

2 Government Finalizes Tender for 1,000 GPUs Under IndiaAI Mission

India is ready to buy 1000 Graphic Processing Units called GPUs to develop AI Computing abilities. The budget sanctioned for the IndiaAI Mission is Rs  10370 crore. India will provide computer sources with ease of access to start-ups, public agencies, and companies. 

3 17th Divya Kala Mela in Raipur

The 17th Divya Kala Mela was inaugurated by Union Minister Dr. Virendra Kumar. This meal is especially for the Divyang people. The Divya Kala Mela was organized by the Dept of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities in Raipur Chhattisgarh. The objective of the Divya Kala Mela is to highlight the skills of the Divyang people and they will show their skills. There were 100 Divyang people in Divya Kala Mela from 20 different states. 

4 What is Krishi-DSS Digital Geospatial Platform?

Krishi-Decision Support System is launched by the Indian Govt. The India Govt has named the platform Krishi-DSS, it will be a digital platform where all of the data related to agriculture will be kept. This Krishi-DSS platform is introduced on 16 August 2024. The people can access the weather report, satellite images, soil health details, and other important information related to agriculture on Krishi-DSS. 

5 PM Modi to address Third Voice of Global South Summit

VOGSS- Voice of Global South Summit is hosted by India, This is the third VOGSS with the motto of Kutumbakam. The Summit aims to be “the world is one family’. The objective of VOGSS is to listen to the problems of countries in the Global South and address their issues in the best possible ways. All of the countries that are located in the Global South are invited to the VOGSS Summit.
